No, I am not a physician, psychiatrist (MD or DO), nor am I a prescribing psychologist.
It is standard practice to coordinate care with your prescriber. I will consult with your prescriber as soon as I have an ROI (Release of Information) on file.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I can evaluate, diagnose, and will create a treatment plan to manage your illness with the goal of termination and/or followup as needed.

Each title a professional utilizes varies depending on the license they attained. License requirements vary by state. Texas psychologists, such as myself must have a doctoral level education in psychology (Psy.D. or Phd.D), 3,500 clinical hours supervised by licensed psychologists and/or board certified psychiatrists, and successful completion of board exam (EPPP) prior to receiving licensure. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) require a masters degree and 3,000 hours of supervised experience and exams through their specific licensing board. While all three types of professionals deliver counseling or therapy services, a licensed clinical psychologist, such as myself can provide psychological assessment and evaluation.

Yes. I accept all major insurances. I am currently accepting Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, and United Healthcare. I am no longer accepting Tricare.
If you are out of network, you will still be responsible for your session fees directly to the practice, regardless of reimbursement.
I can provide a monthly super bill that you will need to submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network coverage, and your insurance company will then reimburse you directly.

Please inquire with me by selecting the “book now” button or complete the form provided on the “contact” tab. Once I receive your inquiry, it is standard practice for me to provide a free 15 minute phone consultation to make sure we are a good fit and to answer any questions you may have. Once we establish that I can provide you with the assistance you may need, next steps include completion of intake paperwork and we set up an initial appointment from there.

As many sessions as it takes to meet your specific needs and therapeutic goals. Therapy is definitely not a one size fits all approach. Your tailored treatment plan will determine the amount of sessions you may require. I see some clients twice a week and others 1 time every 4-6 weeks for follow-up and symptom management. It really does vary based on you.
